Job description:

Support the Director of Operations at the respective distribution center by managing warehouse activities and overseeing all aspects of daily production and order fulfillment.

Major Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:
Establish operational procedures for activities including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling and disposition, and maintaining up-to-date warehouse inventory. Lead and measure daily processes to ensure that order fulfillment and production are executed with precision. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to address daily challenges and ensure timely and accurate completion of order fulfillment for operations shipping between 2,200 to 10,000 lines per day, equating to $136,000 to $1.2 million in daily revenue. When applicable, act as the Certified Designated Representative (CDR) to ensure compliance with the State of Florida’s "Pharmacy Practice Act," including accurate recordkeeping and procedural adherence.

Human Capital Management:
Facilitate all human resource processes within the local facility, including sourcing and staffing for various positions, performance management support, compensation administration as necessary, and training and development initiatives. Foster a culture that encourages positive employee relations, while ensuring confidentiality is maintained regarding compensation information for supervisors, leads, and hourly employees.

Expense Management:
Oversee daily and ongoing expenses to promote efficient use of financial resources. Prepare work orders for repairs and requisition replacements for equipment. Manage scheduling, tracking, and expediting of freight to inter-company services and contact distributors. Work collaboratively with carriers to address any freight discrepancies.

Inventory Management:
Monitor workflows and processes to guarantee that products are correctly moved from trailers to racks to shipping areas. Responsible for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).

Sales Support:
Assist local sales representatives and leadership in delivering exceptional customer service. Address service failures and customer concerns promptly to support current business operations. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to resolve customer complaints documented through the OSI process.

Safety and Hygiene:
Monitor work team activities to ensure compliance with safety practices and maintain proper housekeeping standards within the facility. Provide guidance to the safety committee on best practices.

Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating ability in managing personnel and warehouse staff. Preferably, candidates should possess 5 years of business experience, including significant time spent in a distribution center environment.

Certification / Licensure:
When applicable, certification as a CDR by the State of Florida is required to ensure compliant operations and handling of pharmaceutical products.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills in both group and individual settings, along with effective writing abilities. A demonstrated capacity for active listening, approachability, and proficiency in multicultural environments is essential. Excellent presentation skills are required. A strong sense of personal urgency, energy, and stamina is necessary, with the ability to prioritize multiple demands and navigate complex situations requiring involvement from various decision-makers. Proven experience in customer relations and leading work environments that foster positive employee relations is also crucial.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $87,360.00 – $131,040.00 annually, with actual salaries varying based on the candidate’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is eligible for bonuses and/or incentives, with the assurance that Medline will not pay below the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
