Job description:

Responsibilities include utilizing an electronic order system or order sheets to construct loads with a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack, while ensuring compliance with shipping and receiving documentation.

Key tasks include transporting full pallets of products from the warehouse to trailers and returning any unused pallets or plastic flats. For bulk truck loading, employees will select specific packages and flavors from the warehouse, ensuring the stability of pallets through appropriate stacking and shrink-wrapping for local deliveries. Loading for route trucks involves assembling customized product packages based on sales orders, while also managing the unloading of any returned items.

The role necessitates the ability to lift a substantial volume of products, ranging from 20-45 pounds per case, and requires consistent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping throughout the workday.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

  • Operate a power pallet jack or forklift to retrieve products and build pallets/loads in accordance with load sheets or voice pick audio equipment, when applicable.
  • Document any out-of-stock items on the load ticket.
  • Securely wrap pallets upon completion of loading.
  • Submit paperwork for verification prior to loading and ensure truck is properly inspected.
  • Stage pallets and load them into trucks when ready.
  • Complete partial pallets and organize mixed pallets.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness in the work area.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

Helpful Experience:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting, such as order selection, product storage, and product staging, as well as operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Proficiency in basic forklift operations, including maneuvering in confined spaces while ensuring product safety.
  • Familiarity with racking systems and the logistics of loading and unloading pallets.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
