Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Warehouse Associate to enhance our facility at Ryder in Etna, Ohio. We invite you to be part of our team at Ryder, where we prioritize safety in our supply chain environment and utilize state-of-the-art equipment.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • A minimum of six months of related warehouse experience is required, while one year or more is preferred
  • Familiarity with operating powered industrial trucks such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks is essential; maintenance skills are a plus
  • Ability to operate manual and/or automated warehouse or manufacturing equipment is preferred
  • Possession of powered industrial truck certification
  • Proficiency in reading and performing basic mathematics in English for safety and operational communication
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data accurately into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in use
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster professional relationships across all organizational levels, including peers, customers, and supervisors
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility and self-motivation to excel in a fast-paced work setting

Responsibilities:

  • Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers, ensuring accurate scanning
  • Assist in training dock employees on new procedures
  • Secure the facility at the end of shifts and address scanning issues and housekeeping
  • Perform picking and packing duties while checking for signs of product or container damage
  • Execute assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures related to material handling
  • Conduct material moves that align with necessary physical and logical transactions
  • Participate in team activities aimed at personal and operational improvement within the warehouse
  • Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area and perform any other duties as assigned
