Warehouse Worker I

Location: Blue Ash, OH
Shift: First Shift – Flexible
Compensation: $23.00/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adhere strictly to all work instructions and safety regulations in all tasks.
  • Execute internal product transfers using the FIFO (First In/First Out) methodology.
  • Assist in the reception of raw materials by taking samples for the Quality Control Laboratory as required.
  • Store items according to established protocols, ensuring compliance with safety and company guidelines while maintaining proper storage and stock rotation.
  • Notify the Manager regarding any non-conforming products received.
  • Efficiently unload and load trucks/containers.
  • Inspect the condition of trucks/containers/road tankers to ensure products remain undamaged.
  • Prepare orders diligently and in a timely manner by pulling products, preparing packages, and placing orders in the designated delivery area, aligning with established procedures to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation:
    • Ensure all documents are signed and dated.
    • Prevent loss or misplacement of documents.
  • Keep the workspace clean by disposing of used containers and adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained in a clean and well-kept condition, reporting any defects to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments involved in warehouse activities.
  • Complete the daily checklist for forklifts.
  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Demonstrate a focus on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player, offering assistance as needed to achieve job completion and enhance skill sets.
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work under the guidance of peers and/or the Warehouse Manager.
  • Be available for mandatory overtime as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Strong math, reading, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy; proficiency in SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and appropriately.
  • Participation and contribution to improvement teams.
  • Proven attendance record with no significant attendance issues (always punctual; under five unscheduled absences).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and environment.
  • Forklift operation capability.
  • Understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrates a readiness to assist colleagues in areas beyond direct responsibilities.

Physical Environment:

  • Required to stand, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Bending and lifting are necessary activities.
