MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE – JOB DESCRIPTION

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: General Manager

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within the timeframes required by the company and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Must obtain Tanning Certification within the timeframe required by the company.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Member Services Representative is responsible for delivering a positive member experience by offering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee all front desk-related activities, including:
    • Answering phones in a courteous manner and assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
    • Conducting tours for prospective members.
    • Updating member accounts as needed.
    • Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as necessary.
    • Performing cleaning duties as required to ensure the club remains neat and clean.
    • Maintaining CPR/AED Certification and the physical ability to perform CPR/AED if necessary.
    • Obtaining Tanning Certification within the designated timeframe required by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
