Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and foster meaningful relationships with seniors.

Experience in passing medications is a requirement, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications following physician orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts.

Pay:
Starting hourly wage is $15.00, with opportunities for growth.
