We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic Front Desk Agent for our Second Shift, 3 PM to 11 PM, at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton New Albany. Position Summary:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for efficiently and courteously managing guest check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Organizational Scope:
This position plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service, thereby contributing to the hotel’s revenue generation.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests when possible.
  • Pre-register guests, block reservations, and process same-day and future reservations in alignment with hotel rate structures, discounts, and sales strategies.
  • Efficiently handle guest check-ins and check-outs per hotel policies regarding credit and cash handling.
  • Resolve customer complaints and assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, in-house events, directions, safety deposit boxes, and more.
  • Process room cancellations according to established procedures.
  • Professionally manage guest walk-ins during full house scenarios or extenuating circumstances.
  • Assist guests to their rooms while handling luggage as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, including their locations, hours of operation, and answers to related questions.
  • Store luggage for guests both day and overnight.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of three months to one year of experience in a similar hotel or customer service role.
  • Hours Required: 8-hour shifts; scheduling may vary based on operational needs.

Skills and Abilities:
