Job description:
Required open availability on both weekend days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting members, prospective members, and guests.
– Perform various front desk activities, including but not limited to:
– Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a wide range of inquiries.
– Checking IDs and member barcodes into the system.
– Facilitating new member sign-ups.
– Conducting tours of the club for prospective members.
– Assisting with necessary updates to members’ accounts.
– Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, referring to the Assistant Club Manager when needed.
– Contributing to the overall neatness and cleanliness of the club.
– Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
– Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment, and gym floors.
– Stocking locker rooms with appropriate supplies and paper products.
– Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment (such as toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager.
– Adhering to the “Lost and Found Policy” by promptly turning in lost member property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:
– Previous customer service experience is preferred.
– Basic proficiency in computer skills.
– A passion for fitness and health.
– Consistently maintain an upbeat and positive attitude.
– Punctuality and reliability are essential.
– Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with both members and co-workers, consistently exceeding membership expectations.
– Strong listening skills, with the capacity to empathize and resolve issues effectively.
– Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions, employing appropriate behavior and language.
– A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
– Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands:
– Continuous standing and walking during shifts.

– Capability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
– Handling and diluting cleaning chemicals during shifts.
– Regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment and frequently-used surfaces within the club.
