WELDER MECHANIC – Starting Wage: $26.33 to $29.92, 15 Days Paid Time Off, Benefits Commencing on Day 1

Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC, Manistee Plant, is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Welder Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant processing, conveying, and packaging equipment, as well as related facilities. Key responsibilities include:

– Utilizing mechanical tools, welding equipment, cutting tools, measurement and alignment tools, and material handling equipment to effectively execute repairs.
– Performing preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal equipment operation, including lubrication tasks.
– Operating in proximity to moving equipment while using heavy machinery and tools.
– Transporting and maneuvering heavy components and machinery through appropriate equipment and rigging techniques.
– Entering and retrieving data as required for maintenance records.
– Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining organized work areas.
– This list of duties is not exhaustive; incumbents may be assigned additional tasks of equal or lesser complexity as needed.
– Candidates must successfully complete a written NOCTI C Welder Mechanic test, as well as a flat/horizontal welding practical test and WorkKeys assessment.

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications: minimum age of 18 years, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 55 lbs, willingness to work rotating shifts, and potential for decision-making responsibilities. We are looking for a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check.
