Team Members play a crucial role in providing customer service, stocking, and sanitation within their assigned departments. All retail positions at Whole Foods Market require a commitment to maintaining a positive company image by offering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and fellow Team Members. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures is a must. Team Members will be expected to perform various duties inherent to the broader scope of Team Member roles while actively supporting Whole Foods Market’s core values and goals, promoting national, regional, and local initiatives, and complying with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Execute opening, mid, and closing procedures as designated.
• Adhere to departmental procedures for product preparation, storage, rotation, and stocking.
• Prepare, package, weigh, and price products for sale.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring proper rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cases and shelves.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep logs as needed.
• Assist with periodic inventory audits.
• Arrive punctually at the workstation, properly groomed and dressed, ready for work; attend all required shifts, trainings, and meetings.
• Provide exemplary customer service, promptly addressing customer needs and utilizing suggestive selling techniques; handle phone and page inquiries courteously.
• Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for product preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures, including health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, ensuring equipment meets Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.
• Verify accuracy of signage and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations without delay.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
